Don’t think too much about Corona while reading this. These flight tips are for after Corona 😀

With the ever increasing connectivity of the world via Air Travel Jetsetting is becoming a standard norm these days. Whether it is to party your brains out in Vietnam, or to meet a client in Singapore or to visit your Family in Canada you’ll be presented with a lot of travel opportunities these days.

Flights are a real enjoyable thing if you know what you are doing. (If not it can be legit miserable because let’s be real flying economy sucks)

Air travel is not the first world luxury it used to be nowadays. Flights are packed with passengers and Airport procedures can take hours. (Pre Corona Virus of course :D)

And believe me if you show up to a flight like a noob you’ll have an experience you’d not want to have again.

So how do you prep for a flight?

Okay, here I don’t want to get in to what you’ll want to pack for your trip. Packing your bag is really not my business and it really depends on what you are traveling for.

I’ll give you some tips on how to prepare and things to carry with you inside the aircraft to get the best experience out of your flight. That’s more practical and you can pretty much relate this to any kind of air travel you’ll have at any point.

First thing, I always want to make a killer impression to everyone around when I travel. I have experienced the perks of looking like a Vet(Veteran) multiple times before in my travels. Flight Crew can easily detect who are seasoned travelers and if you seem like a Vet you can definitely get some extra attention. I’m talking about enjoying that flight in 1950s luxury and swagger.

Okay so without further delay talk let’s get into the Flight Tips.

these are all legit advice. Look up my IG for validity lol

Tip 1: Always Carry light and Organized

This is extremely important. If you pack too much you become a disturbance to others. It’s difficult to store your things in the overhead comportment. Your shit’s gonna fall on other people. You’re gonna block the isle for minutes at a stretch. You look like a complete utter newbie. So carry bare minimum to the aircraft cabin. One carry on baggage and a small backpack is it. The crew and fellow passengers will thank you for being a Pro.

Tip 2: Noise Cancelling Headphones are a MUST

Your flight is about to take off. A kid’s probably gonna cry his ass out most of the time. And that sucks. You’re all in the mood for adventure and the take off of the flight helps a lot to set the tone for the rest of the trip. So always have those noise cancelling headphones ready to go if you can. You look cool and it’s highly functional.

Tip 3: Always carry a Travel Wallet

This is probably the best flight tip I can give you. You might think you just have to carry your passport when boarding the plane. But in reality you have to constantly switch between a ton of shit like money, hotel booking info, credit cards, landing cards and boarding passes all throughout the flight. So please buy a proper Travel Wallet and look like a Pro the next time you travel.

Tip 4: Have a power-bank and cables ready to go

According to my first tip I don’t recommend you carry too much shit like laptops, tablets, notebooks and game consoles to the flight. It’s too difficult to carry all those through security and it’s damn difficult to manage all those devices in the flight. However you should have a charged up power bank for your phone. Let’s face it every possible kind of information and entertainment is available on your phone so better to focus on just keeping it charged. I emphasize this because most flights don’t have in seat charging facilities and even if they do it’ll probably suck.

Tip 5: Always and I mean always keep content downloaded on Netflix, Apple Music etc.

This is goes hand in hand with Tip #4. If you’re the type of person who wants to listen to your music and you’re big on your entertainment, take charge of it without relying on “on board entertainment”. On board entertainment sucks for the most part. Some bigger airlines have good content available on their system but I wouldn’t bet much on that.

Tip 6: Wear Comfortable but STYLISH clothes

Okay this is very important. You’ll see everywhere advice to wear comfortable clothes to the flight. It’s true. However I want to focus more on the word STYLISH because wearing proper stylish clothes matter when flying. People quickly judge you by the way you dress so wearing stylish and proper clothes will help you breeze through airport procedures. Unless you are on a trip to get jack hammered in South East Asia for 2 weeks straight. In that case wear whatever the F you want. That trip is all about having a good time 😀

Tip 7: Moisturizer is Key.

Ah yes the moisturizer dilemma. Let me put it this way. If you don’t carry moisturizer with you to the flight, chance of you getting out of it like a 100 year old lizard fossil is pretty much 99%. So do yourself a favor and carry moisturizer with you. Also in the same lane make sure you keep hydrated throughout the flight because you get dehydrated faster than you’d believe.

Bonus Flight Tip: It never hurts to take charge of alcohol on your own

Okay this something that differs me form others. I never let my in flight alcohol requirement be decided solely by the crew. I always carry my Whiskey flask all around the airport(But make sure you finish it before boarding). Also please don’t drink too much in the airport and get denied of boarding. You’ve seen the small 125ml bottles at the Duty Free right? Get a couple and take it to the flight (They let you take duty free liquor inside the flight) So if the crew is being too bossy about refilling you you can flip them off and get hammered on your own terms. But be aware drinking dehydrates you in seconds. So if you are getting hammered balance it out with drinking a lot of water afterwards.

One last thing: In my opinion it’s best to get seats next to the isle because you can walk around all you like. Getting the window seat is great but it’s super annoying when you want to move around.

Cheers!
