Work, Travel(Emphasize on the traveling part because the whole mindset of the system is tailored towards traveling), Workout, Go out, Eat Healthy, Have a side hustle and Have a Social Life.
Sounds like a good Mantra for life right?
But how effective and consistent can this be? When real life hits you it becomes nearly impossible to balance all these things and if you are like any other person it’s gonna drive you crazy.
How can we fix this? At least the travel and workout part of the Mantra.
I’m no expert but I have developed a system that has been successful in a number of situations for myself and for a long time consistently. If you think about it your life normally revolves around your work, social life and travel plans. So whatever your fitness and diet plan is it should suit your lifestyle. The biggest mistake people make is starting fitness regimens that can never be integrated to their actual lives long term.
In my opinion working out is one of the most difficult things to incorporate to your life. That is until you do it. Once you make working out a priority it easily becomes a top priority. It’ll drive you crazy when you can’t get at least 4 workouts per week.
If you are like me and you like to always be on the move, committing to a specific workout can become problematic. Imagine you have to go overseas for 3 or 6 months for work. How are you gonna commit to a workout?
Here I’ll explain a set of measures you can do to make sure you can workout consistently no matter where you are.

1. Always have some workout gear with you
This is very important when you are going somewhere whether it’s just for a couple of days or a couple of weeks. Always take some workout gear with you. When I travel I think about what kind of activities will be possible for me to do while traveling. Depending on the expected scenario I’ll pack my things so when time comes I’m prepared. A pair of running shoes, a couple of gym wear t shirts, a skipping rope, shorts and socks are musts.
2. Start running and some body weight workouts ASAP
When you go to your destination if you are unable to find a gym to workout, make sure you start ASAP by going for a light run and doing some body weight workouts like push ups, squats and sit ups. If you don’t start soon you’ll develop resistance and put off working out. The more time you put it off the more it becomes difficult to start. Best way to start is by just running. Running requires no complex planning or equipment so you can “Just Do It’ 😉 without stressing over too much. Once you are comfortable and consistent with this you can start to add more body-weight workouts and develop the routine.
3. Find a gym near your area
If thankfully you go to an area where there are residents there will definitely be a gym there. Go and sign up for a monthly membership. One thing that stops people from doing this is that, working out is not a part of their lifves. They don’t want to go the extra mile and pay for a gym membership because it’s not a part of their life.
When going to a gym anywhere you might have to rely solely on your knowledge to cook up a workout schedule on your own. This again requires some experience and confidence from your part. So when you are in your home territory please go to your local gym and get familiarized with basic workouts for all body parts. This will help you to create workout routines on your own when necessary.
Again the most important part is just going out and joining a gym.
4. Put some effort to clean out your diet
Food is something that’s very difficult to control when traveling. I understand that. However having control over your diet when traveling can help a lot to be fit while traveling. Food is actually the most important part of the equation.
I have the same tip for this as well. Start small. Take control of your meals one by one. For starters you can control your snacks and eat good fruits and nuts for snacks instead of cookies and chocolate bars. Then you take control of your breakfast. Then lunch… You’ll have good control over your diet in no time.
However, don’t let this stress you out. Remember working out and being fit is only a part of your life. It’s not your job or career(I assume it isn’t for most people). So enjoy life while having a handle over your diet.
5. Always visualize fitness as a part of your life wherever you go
Think of it this way. When you go to a different place would you stop drinking your morning coffee? You can try and I’ll guarantee you’ll go absolute crazy if you try to drop the morning caffeine hit. That’s because it’s a part of your life and daily routine.
Only way to consistently workout and keep fit wherever you go is to consider being fit as the same as your life. It’s not something you HAVE TO DO. It’s something YOU JUST DO (it ;).
6. Finally, keep it simple
If you are heavily on the move you won’t have the opportunity to do the most technically advanced workout regimens. Please don’t make this the excuse to absolutely nothing. It’s the biggest mistake you can ever make.
I hope you found the content helpful in some way to improve your fitness routine. So finally, just keep it simple, start with the basics, and do it consistently. I wish you all the best!
